You will obviously see a massive increase, just curious as to why not the new tech?

4770k or 770's? Although the 670's on here are at a bargain price.

I would go with a single 780 rather than older 670's that are ~£300 a pop

Either way, you will see a big upgrade in performance.

Ive got a question on this Corsair H80 Liquid CPU Cooler
Are you suppose to refill the liquid?

Thanks for the input as well guys

I cannot seem to get this pc to post boot after I press the power switch,i have all the wires in correctly, the motherboard light shows green, the cmos jumper is set to normal to, I dont know what the problem is :(

Try the following:

1) Double check your PWR/RESET cables, make sure you haven't got positive/negative the wrong way round and they are in the correct pins.

2) Leave only 1 Ram stick in the motherboard in the first ram slot.

3) Double check you have plugged in the 8 pin connector at the top of the board

4) Double check you have the graphics card firmly in the PCI slot and it has the required power cables connected.

If none of that works, I would run MemTest & check your PSU is working properly with a multimeter.

I have made progess,i put 1 (6 pin connector and 1 (8 pin connector in to the card slots, at that point I couldn't even get a screen up telling me the problem,i took out the (8 pin connector and now I get a message up saying on screen saying please connect the correct wires and I see a red light next to the gfx card, which indicates something is wrong here, ok so this is what I have, I have 1 pci-e wire that is connected to the psu and then I have 2 wires that fit in to the psu to the gfx card, on the gfx card there is 1 (6 pin slot and 1 (8 pin slot, so I am unsure which wires to put in the gfx card, the document I got with the card dosent show much at all, thanks for the quick reply btw :)

Sorry your explanation is a little confusing, but from what I've gathered you need to do the following:

I googled your PSU, and you should have the following cables.

1 x 4+4pin CPU +12V
8 x 4pin Molex
4 x 6+2pin PCI-E Power
1 x 8pin CPU +12V
2 x FDD Power
8 x SATA Power

Take two 6+2pin PCI-E Power cables. Plug them into the PSU and then you can plug them into the Graphics card. The graphics card takes a 6 pin and an 8 pin. So take one of the 6+2pin cables and "join" the head of the cable so it becomes an 8 pin and plug it into the 8 pin slot. Then take the other 6+2 pin and plug the pin into the 6 pin slot.

yeh I have that problem sorted now, I was forgetting to plug in the 2 little wires that was apart from the 6 pins :) , I thought they were spares or something, anyway I have bios up now the problem is getting a windows 7 os to boot up and install, I have set the boot option to the dvdrom drive and when I save in bios and reset,i get an error message up saying no bootable device found, this a brand new bought version of windows 7 unregistered..there is something in bios which lets you select IDE,RAID,AHCI,when I selected IDE the dvdrom device appears in the list and if I select AHCI it dosent appear???,the drive is connected by sata to so I don't understand this part...

Ok try this:

1) Put windows 7 cd in cd drive

2) Boot computer and press delete on the boot splash page

3) Now you will be in the bios gui screen. Go to the Boot menu and scroll down, there should be a category called "Boot Override" (or something similar to that).

4) Select your CD drive and hit enter

5) you should now be booting into the w7 installer

The reason why your cd drive is appearing as an IDE depending on which sata port you plugged it into. I wouldn't worry about this too much unless what I wrote above dosen't work

I am seeing the grey windows loading bar then its taking me to an error screen,i cant remember what it says but il try a simualer pic on google about the message

Here is the message I get

o4Gvol.jpg

This happens straight after it firsts boot from cd and the first loading bar completes,it might not be the exact text but I cant tell this is the error screen.

These are the sata sockets on the motherboard
intel z77 serial ATA 6gbs connectors 7 pin SATA6G 1/2[brown]
intel z77 serial ATA 3gbs connectors 7 pin SATA3G 3-6[black] x2
ASmedia serial ATA 6gbs connectors 7-pin stata3g e1/e2[gray]

The SDD drive is connected to the intel z77 6gbs socket
The Dvdrom drive is connected to intel z77 3gbs socket

The bios is setting to AHCI and I see the SSD and DVDR DRIVE on the list
I cannot seem to select in bios boot menu to boot from the dvdrom drive as there is nothing to tell me how todo it, I just see something like

P1 SDD
p2 DVDROM

but I can change it if I press f8 on post screen and there I can select what to boot from

(edit)
I am going to get a usb stick and install it that way now that I know how todo it

In Advanced BIOS Features, you have the option to select the following boot options.

Hard Disk Boot Priority
Specifies the sequence of loading the operating system from the installed hard drives. Use the up or
down arrow key to select a hard drive, then press the plus key <+> (or <PageUp>) or the minus key <-> (or
<PageDown>) tomove it up or down on the list. Press <Esc> to exit thismenu when finished.

First/Second/Third Boot Device
Specifies the boot order from the available devices. Use the up or down arrow key to select a device
and press <Enter> to accept. Options are: Floppy, LS120, Hard Disk, CDROM, ZIP, USB-FDD, USB-ZIP,
USB-CDROM, USB-HDD, Legacy LAN, Disabled.

So, if you select cdrom/dvdrom, your windows disc should boot up.
