simple solution... 1440p or 4k screen...

also overclock that CPU to 4.5ghz +

at its current form, you'll have CPU working harder then GPU - unless you run Ray Tracing which hasnt rolled out yet

yeah, if anything the 1080p 60hz monitor would be the biggest thing holding you back, both the GPU and CPU will happily destroy that in just about everything.

Though throwing a 6700k would help in the handful of games that want more that 4 threads :)

I'm sorta surprised that's the thing holding it back but my knowledge on computers is quite limited/fragmented admittedly, thanks a bunch

£400 is enough to get a 4K monitor but i would keep saving for the next few months and get something a bit nicer, see what the black friday/xmas deals are.

Did you plan on upgrading your monitor when you bought the 2080? what GPU did you upgrade from?

Thanks guys, I appreciate it! I'm gonna probably save a bit more and do some browsing/research before getting one

I did think about that too, or eventually but never thought about it being the main limit, and I upgraded from the Asus970
