Computer went to sleep in middle of firmware update

Hi all

For some bizarre reason, Samsung Kies didn't keep my computer awake while updating the firmware on my SGS3. As such, I am now stuck on a 'connecting...' screen in Kies and my phone says 'Downloading... do not turn off target!!' with a progress bar that's about 1/4 full.

How do I get this to continue as per normal and why did it fail in the first place?

Edit - Kies just told me to resolve the connection issue by rebooting the device, yet the device itself is telling me not to turn it off! Which is it?!

Edit 2 - So I pressed and held the power button on the SGS3. I then got a message on the S3 saying 'Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.' Kies is now doing a 'firmware emergency recovery'.

Reboot would be my guess.

Kies is a pile of ****, I absolutely hate it. I just download the firmware manually with fus downloader and flash is ODIN. fus downloader has a resume function for the downloads too.

Maybe, but serves him right for trying to troll the other day with the old "my idevice is better then this android device for stupid reasons" type thread.

PS, I own both the SGS3 and iPhone 4S so your inane rambling doesn't even make any sense.
