Yesterday changed my front two fans on my antec 300 case a simple job took old ones out and new ones in now when i turm on my computer i get to the splash screen the one where it says Asus p5q and the opitions to go into bios etc. Now it will not load past the splash screen unless i unplug my mouse and keyboard then it will allow me to load into windows any suggestions to fix this fault?

Make sure you didn't actually unplug any other cables. You may have knocked a cable from the HDD's or something... I know that case, as i used to have one. You sometimes need to push against the HDD's to get the front fan doors to close, which may cause the cables to come loose a bit...

Not high power fans are they? don't want to overload your PSU! lol.

Alll cables are in checked and double checked the only way it will now let me boot into windows is when i take out the mouse and keyboard its so weird any one else had this problem before?

Had a similiar problem where the same MB would take around 5 mins to load windows sometimes, it was because I had the GPU in slot 2 instead of slot 1. Now I know you haven't changed your hardware around but are your new fans plugged into different power connectors than the previous ones?

yes the mouse and keyboard work after windows loads up i plug them back in.

a straight swap in the same power connectors just went from blue leds to red leds.

Worth a try - Disable Legacy USB Support in bios and see if it stops happening
