Computer woes HELP!!!

Hi there people, got a wee problem with me computer, screen went all funny then turned off, any of you ever seen this before...

The spec is

DFI 680i mb
2 gig corsair dom ram
8800 ultra G-card
160 gig WD raptor
running vista 32 bit

It was booting into windows and doing that stuff on the screen but its stopped going into windows now

Anyone any ideas, i haven't tired anything to fix it yet, i thought i'd ask here first

Graphics card has went wonky. You overclocked it? Install the drivers again. As far as I'm aware it is the graphics.

I think it's something to do with the memory on the graphics card. You will either need to get it repaired on warranty or buy a new graphics card. Recently happened on my laptop and I had the exact same green lines + red lines.

You have confirmed what i thought, the card has never been overclocked. now heres the thing the card is a Gainward 8800Ultra, i'll find out but i think it was got 3 - 4 years ago around the time there was a ten year warrintyon some 8800's, does anyone remember if this model came with a long warrinty

I think it was only the BFG & EVGA which offered 10 year warranty.

Might be worth sending a email to Gainward just in case.

My HD4890 did that straight out of the box :S

It seems to be alright now though.

Don't think this has onboard, only way to check is the I/O ports and see if you have a vga port.

Aye thought so, just had a look and no port, having a few issues finding the box for this atm, to find out if its still under warrinty as the paper work will be in there
