Hey guys just wondering if anyone could help me out with the issue i'm having with a pc at the moment. I bought a barebones rig from OcUK about 2 years ago for a family member and it was working fine until recently when it stopped booting properly. The computer will turn on but as soon as it does it will just constantly restart indefinitely. Is anybody able to shed a bit of light on what the possible reason for this is? Is it possibly the mobo is dead?
Many thanks for any replies :)

list pc parts if you can

took out the mb battery and left it out a good 10 minutes then put back in and try? (it will reset/lose any oc settings)

"Primo PLUS 510i" Intel H61 DDR3 Ready Barebones (Socket 1155) was the barebones I bought but it's been discontinued so I dont know the exact specs from OcUK's website

How long does it take to restart with each loop? Does it manage to start loading the OS (Windows I guess)? What do you see on the screen? Can you get into the BIOS?

Nothing comes up on the screen when it tries to boot. There's about 4 seconds between each boot attempt. Cleared the cmos but it didn't seem to improve the problem at all the pc still restarts constantly

try with minimum setup

no hdd's attached,no graphic card (use integrated graphics) and just one ram stick in any of the slots

do you know what motherboard it is? asus/gigabyte/msi ect

it could be faulty board idk,all you can do is try what you can beforehand, maybe test with a spare psu if you can borrow one

I think this may be your motherboard based on a google search

Gigabyte H61MA-D3V

If you can press F8 or delete to enter safe mode screen on boot up and select:

Disable automatic restart on system failure

Once you have done this restart pc and on fail to boot it should display a (BSOD) Blue screen of death and the info on this page will help diagnose the reason for the restart.

Unfortunately the computer wont even register that i've pressed a key instead it just carries on in a restart loop. Is it most likely to be a motherboard issue out of anything?

Could the board be shorting out on the case somehow? Could you try booting with the board out?

idk what to suggest other than try with a spare psu if you can

and also leave out the cmos/mb battery for 30 minutes then put back in and try
