Hi guys,

I'm experiencing a problem. When I switch on the computer it sounds like it keeps cycling on and off and just will not boot and won't show any display on screen either it's just black.

I can keep trying to switch the computer on and off and eventually it will boot but this can take quite a few goes and cosiderable amount of time before this happens.

The computer then seems to run ok when up and running, however, it doesn't run for long and eventually just blue screens then forcing me to switch the computer off and then met with the cycling on and off problem again.

Any ideas? Thanks

Sorry, its the following:

Intel Core 2 Duo E6700
6GB Corsair DHX DDR2 RAM
ASUS P5N -E SLI motherboard
Antec 650W PSU
XFX Radeon HD 5770 1GB Graphics

Not familiar with that ram, but i take it that's 4 sticks (2x2gb + 2x1gb).

Could be your board can't handle 4 sticks of ram, try running it with 2 sticks.

Are Volts set correctly for ram and northbridge, (think northbridge needs a bit extra when 4 sticks of ram is in use).

Has it just started doing this on its own or have you made any changes to your rig?
