Computer Won't Turn On

It's an old Pentium 4 system right? - if it was me I'd be looking to either get a completely new system or if funds are tight a new faster mobo and CPU (which is liable to mean new compatible RAM too).

If funds are really tight I've got an old pentium 4 mobo and cpu up in the loft somewhere which I could post to you if you like - pm me if you're interested.

Edit - ah you've solved the problem - nice one.

Thanks, just to update. We are currently waiting for Windows to install whatever updates it is getting. It is taking a long time. Then we can determine the motherboard model and update the BIOS. It may take a while. We will post back.

Thanks,
Matt Wilde

No Luck :(

I have looked at the motherboard manual and found this:

'You may install 64MB, 128MB, 256MB, 512MB and 1GB DDR DIMMs into the DIMM sockets.'

So, do you think the BIOS is not at fault for the RAM not working?

Thanks,
Matt Wilde
