Don't worry, they'll be there. At least for a small while. One reason I was hoping for a simultaneous release with WAR, would have cut down the amount of kids by a fair amount.

GTA had an adult rating, that probably attracted more kids than adults. Similar situation with AoC I'm afraid the influx of 'idiots' when nudity, gore and plans for an M rating were announced was huge.

What possible bennefit would nudity serve the game? although itll blatently boost sales initially and maybes get them a few odd months of subscriptions
 
Because nudity, sex, prostitution and cutting people's heads off is a huge part of Robert E Howard's world of Hyboria, and the game is trying to say true to his original vision.
 
Good point, guess ill wait a month or 2 till after launch or remove the chat window then so i dont get the morons spoiling my experience :)

Wonder if the devs have a sense of humour and put a tribute to Arnie in it :)
 
Heh I got my AO account banned in dec for having 4 address changes (all in jersey!)...apparently they think it's been sold on and on..but it was lil ole me spreading my wings then coming back to the nest a few times :(

Played since day 1...not anymore :(

And to who ever lol'ed at me for saying a 360 beta......"halo3 has done it" "cod4 has done it" it is a possibility you know.

MMO's dont generally work on consoles because of their complexity and interface requirements.

What I meant was they don't want to be adding major gameplay stuff that could just as easily bring in major bugs and balance issues right before release.

Ehehe which one? I got banned legitimatly a couple of times for exploiting (everyone knew me ..*hint* ;)
But then went clean but fate caught up in the end...
Only char I have left is a 160doc kitted in some neat AI stuff when I rejoined some time ago. This is on my friends account however. Lost my 220's :///

Peeps helped me get back up on my feet but then real life got in the way.

Oh man I LOVED twinking so much, doubly so before the OE nerf, I can't think of any other game that rewards you so much. However the greifing, poor support and elitism in some of the community is now a big turn off.

What drove me to exploit really was the fact I trusted my REAL LIFE Friends with items I let them use (borrow) and they stole them/sold them ingame for their own items. It's the principle not the fact it's "just a game".

2 Dragon Chests taken from me, two RBP's and a bunch of other rares, my own real life friends huh? This was back when these items WERE the thing to get, I believe they still are?

No wonder I got so mad I paid 1 Billion for a new chest!
Then managed to get it through my own means again, and a RBP to a friends acc who got hacked, arf!

+10 internet points if you can guess which player I was, RK1. :D


There was a lot a hated about the game, mostly ninja's and when you couldn't tell who took what.

Made a lot of friends, lost a lot, had a relationship and more all from that game.

good times! I hope AoC is a least a shadow of it's predecessor mmo.

Only just started playing again after a few months off and think the rbp is around 2b :D

I left for WoW but came back to AO. Its no where near as flashy or polished as WoW but there is just something about it. Suprised more dont play it but guessing the graphics put some people off.

So, just spill ya name :p Suprisingly my main was Cryfreman(mp)

Weren't they supposed to be doing an engine update or something? I remember thinking I'd have to have another look after that went in, but then never heard if it had gone ahead.

It sucks, sorry to say, had big expectations for this but i can't get the combat system to make sense, graphics suck compared to the early screens i saw and it seems like nothing's new. But it does have a base, and really MMORPGs rarely shine at launch, so i'll give it a few months after launch to pass judgement.
