...is it just me or this is a thoroughly massive waste of money?

Listening to the radio on the way into town yesterday when some semi acted advert tripe comes on.

"Sometimes you don't want to say in case you seem to eager"
'But if you leave it too late then ...it's too late'
<then I kinda phased out while i thought to myself 'how retarded is this?' and it finishes;>
"Shame boys don't think like that"
'Shame girls don't think like that'

[It was a girl and a boy thinking the same things but thinking they're not thinking the same things or something]

aaaaaanyway...

I find it pointless. At no point am I going to listen to that and suddenly be inclined to go and buy condoms and keep them on me. I generally do anyway and if I don't, then no sex.

I can't see quite what that advert hopes to achieve, I can't think of anyone who would be listening to the radio who currently thinks 'condoms are for losers i wont use them' and suddenly decide 'actually, they're awesome, i'll use them now'

Well that's my point. I don't think it is a good idea. The ad's are so completely random and useless, I can't imagine ANYONE relates to them, listens to them nevermind actually takes in a message from them.
 
o i take the msg in but its way to late for me ive got 3 kids now lol

yea i see your point i think am old enough to talk it in but showing that to the youth of today then no i cant see it having any effect on them but am hoping it does

as aids & std's are on the rise (higher now then the 80's where we had the hard hiting ads)

They pussy foot around the point in case it offends some one, show a advert with a single mother in a damp council flat with a screaming baby, job done.

Or telling a middle aged woman that she can't have kids because she contracted an STD(I) when she was younger, then breaks into tears, or a young lad with people knocking on his door for his child support money.

Hard hitting adverts have always had a huge success. Makes me laugh at the on with the guys drinking beer at a table then running over a woman, was deemed "too extreme". Then I suggest you look at Australia's approach with children painted across the road, that really really does put the message across, not some woman with some cuts leaning against the bar.

Then take a **** in his hat and go give it to his grieving widow.
Use a condom.
Not using condoms directly funds terrorism.

To be honest, I think you really need to hear the ad i'm talking about. It is lame beyond belief. It's one of those ads that tries to make it sound like using a condom will make you as cool as Will Smith was in the Fresh Prince (he was cool, don't try and argue otherwise ¬_¬)
 
ive seen the tv ad (which is what am basing my posts on) but yea would be good to hear it and Fresh Prince is the best tv program ever made i can resight the whole theame tune :-)
 
They should just make up a lie for kids that they will die on the spot, that would stop them from having unprotected sex!

As for me, i always carry a condom on me, even though i have a misses. I always carry them just naturally now though.

But then again, this might scare the handful whilst the other rebels attempt to prove their willies are of alkaline nature... having neutral unprotected sex.

Honestly tho, guys should learnt to carry a condom - not to be optimistic and wanting but more of a "better to have than not". I makes me wonder why so many kids out there still think they can have unprotected sex and get away from their consequences...

it should be made clear that if u have sex without a condom it goes black and falls off

i dont think radio and tv ads really work i think its more to do with sex ed and making people more aware of what there doing that gimiky OTT moronic sounding ads like the one pointed out
