Ive got this conduit on the ceiling in my hall with electric cable running through it. It's been up about 2 years but the self sticking side has now lost adhesion and it's hanging. Any suggestions how to resticky it?

I could screw it in but I'll try tape first.

I’d try some double sided gorilla tape to start with and see how it holds.

Good idea. Gorilla is not the cheapest though, it's about £5 or £6 for just 1.5m and I need about 2 to 2.5 metres. I'll try Everbuild Mammoth Power Grip tape. Reviews are positive and £2.84 at Toolstation for 2.5m.

You could buy a new 2m length of self adhesive trucking from Screwfix for less than the cost of the tape.

I see that, Tower self adhesive mini trunking 2m for £1.69 and £2.19. How would I get the electric cable through it without disconnecting the wiring? I think it's easier to buy the tape.

edit: oh, it has a clickable lid/cover. That makes it easier. Not sure which would stick for longer, new trunking or double sided tape.

If you clean the wall properly before attaching it any self adhesive trucking should be pretty solid. It usually takes the paint off when you try to remove it.

If in doubt pin it as well.

3m 4910... Seriously strong tape!

And, please, get the correct corner pieces for the trunking... It will look about 100x nicer!
