*Confederations Cup*

I'm sure England were in it the year Carlos scored that wonder free kick. I think that was the C.Cup.

I'm pretty sure england haven't been in the confederations cup (cant remember who we would've played)

The carlos goal was 97 against france i think.

The only time i remeber england on a mini tournament was le tournoi when england lost to brazil 1-3 at wembley (le saux scored first i think)

It's funny how dire Italy are.

3-1 against 10 men (last min goal)

I look forward to seeing them defend their 'world champions' title.

You are hilarious.

They are the second most successful World Cup International side.
They have had OVER 20 shots tonight.
And have had 58% possesion.

Spain took apart NZ who are ranked past 50.
USA are a good side ranked in the top 15.

All 3 goals were good, play was sloppy at times, but it was better than Brazils performence, and probably just as good as Spains due to the opposition.

You can throw your statistics at me all you want. Just wait for the world cup to start. I'll be laughing

58% possession against 10 men? WOW ZOMG!

20 shots and 3 goals, that'll be due to their lack of good strikers.

Spain were far superior, they passed the ball around brilliantly and the only reason it wasn't more than 5 is because they took their foot off the gas.

At one point it looked as if USA were going to go 2-0 up against 10 men.

For me Italy only have 2 superstars, Buffon and Pirlo and yes, I do know who Guttuso is.

Go back to your fantasy land where France, Germany, Argentina and Italy are 'poor' international sides in your opinion.

Gattuso is past it, his fitness is too low atm.
Rossi is proving more and more that he is a good player.

Spain scored 5 against an easy opposition, Italy played like crap and didn't put in much effort for most of the game and won 3-1.

Fantasy land for you.

lmao so i answer everyone of your points and your comeback is something from a previous conversation?

Good one.

58% against 10 men, why did you even bother bringing that up?

Please quote me on this

IF ITALY OR GERMANY WIN THE WORLD CUP I WILL EAT MY OWN S***

It's funny how you didn't answer to my comments about NZ being a poor opposition.

Oh, suddenly France and Argentina aren't poor, right, ok.

I never said France were poor, I said Italy and Germany are.

I said Spain are superior to France.

I am quarter Italian.

And yes you did say France we're poor, you stated that Italy had an easy WC win, but nevermind.

I'm trying to get the point across that Italy aren't as dire as you make out atall, especially with 3 great goals.

You can say 'if' this didn't happen etc then it would have been different, but it did happen.

I'm sure if Spain played against USA, and USA had 10 men, Spain won 3-1, you'd be all over it. Just like the rest of the media is.

Ahhhhhh

There we go.

At least we english know we're crap.

I didn't say France were crap. I said any team can get motivated to play in a final, after their free ticket into the semi-final (Italy) Who in the final by playing their usual boring game, eventually winning on penalties.

Please go ahead and put your money where your mouth is.

As i say me and you can argue over and over but I'll let the football do the talking. I am pretty confident Italy won't lift the cup and won't even get close to doing so.

Got to agree, Italy like Germany just grind results out but rarely show the flair or vision to show that they are true champions...

Get ahead and then sit back and not concede still seems to be their tactics most of the time...

ps3ud0

Thank you ;)

I'd have loved to have seen how the game would have panned out if USA wouldn't have had a man sent off.

Personally I thought Italy looked desperate at times, reverting to their usual dirt and cheating when things got rough.

Spain will tear them a new one tbh

Italy are indeed crap at going forward. Rossi's goal was a peach, De Rossi's was poorly hit and unlucky for the keeper. Didn't see the 3rd but against a weak 10 man side Italy didn't convince me.

Frankly the USA were better in the first half, even very late in the game they got their passing/attacking back on and looked not bad and had a couple great chances despite being down to 10 for a long time and very very tired.

Italy's goals were, well, fluke more than anything, people shoot from 40 yards constantly, it was "easier" this time because USA screwed up and backed miles off rather than the centre back closing him down, which would have given him less time and cut off angles at the goal, no need to back off. last goal was largely down to USA pressing even that late in the game, pressing with 10 men, I'm impressed that they would do that but it unsurprisingly left them open. Toni is laughable, and its him, and Gomez who really make me wonder if Ribery is that good. Toni and GOmez are so hysterically bad, yet they are gods in that league with everyone desperate to have them. Toni was put through on goal, what 3/4 golden chances with only the keeper to beat and he didn't get unlucky, he didn't look close to finishing well, he's a complete joke.

Italy obviously can win, because any team can get lucky, but they aren't anywhere near being the best team in the tourney/world.

Hard to see anyone but Spain as the winners, though Brazil quite often stumble through the crap games against weak teams winning with barely any effort and turn on the style in the final few games.
