Ill keep this as simple as I can.

Have a HDMI connection out on my gpu, its carries the sound to my Tv as well as picture, I also have a Creative soundcard, but, the HDMI sound only seems to work thru the Motherbaord on-board Realtek device..which is working thru the GPU.

This means I have to enable/ disable the two different devices depending on what I want to do with teh Pc...watching movie..then back to using the better Creative card..

Is their any way around this?

Sorry if not well explained.

my Sc is an X-Fi Platinum Fatal1ty Champion Series

Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H AMD 880G (Socket AM3) microATX DDR3 Motherboard

Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4350 1024MB DDR2 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Not sure on connection internally between them, dont think teh Gpu has anything on it.

quick look, you may of already done this but

The only requirement is that you install the Realtek HDMI Audio driver from Realtek's site, once that's done you'll get the option to enable 8-channel audio output in Vista's speaker configuration settings

Have you? does that still only work for onboard sound or does changing the settings allow your dedicated to work?
