Hi,

Im a noob to overclocking so im probably doing something stupid.
But can anyone shed any light as to why Core Temp displays a different clock speed to CPU-Z.

Ive run Superpi 1M and the results suggest that the clock speed displayed by CPU-Z is the correct one..but then im not sure why the bios/windows/core temp pick it up as 3.4ghz???

Any ideas?

Thanks.
Im not after the fastest rig in the world but 3.4ghz would be nice.

Can you take a look at this and let me know what you think.
I realise that one core has failed but im hoping that my temps are low enough so that i can increase the vcore to compensate.
Also what memory timings should i be using for crucial ballistix? Are the ones identified in CPU-Z correct? They are 2 x 1gb PC6400.
