Confused on HDR

I have. KS7000 and hate HDR it's like looking at a showroom tv in dynamic mode x20. Set it up with AVForums calibrated settings and it is beautiful. HDR looks great for the first 10 minutes, then it becomes tiring to watch.

I have a B6V and think HDR is fantastic

The OLED generally gets criticism for being lower nits (peak brightness) than the Samsung LED's but it sounds like you are finding it too bright?

Yes, I find the 100% backlighting intensity tiring to watch, plus the colours always look oversaturated in HDR. The added benefit, for me, of the black detail is significantly outweighed by the intensity and saturation of the image. Hence my personal dislike of HDR

It is tiring watching in the dark or the daytime / both ?
- presumably you have separate calibrations for the two ? with the backlight down at night time
