Hi!

About to order a new build tonight, but not sure on the RAM...

Mobo = ASUS Striker II Extreme
CPU = E8600
GFX = 2x 280GTX's SLi

I've read a bit about OCZ being an issue with this board, and Corsair works well, so thats what i'm looking at. Thing is do I go for the:

Corsair 4GB DDR3 DHX 1333C9DHX Twin3X (2x2GB) (TW3X4G1333C9DHX)

Or

Corsair 4GB DDR3 DHX 1600C7DHX Twin3X (2x2GB) (TWIN3X4096-1600C7DHX)

???

I'm not a great OC'er, and money isn't the issue, but would I be better off getting the 1600mhz ram as I do want to OC the E8600 a little?

Any help for you guys would be of great value.

Regards

Ive had issues with OCZ memory in board before and them being very voltage sensitive.

What have you read about the OCZ ram on this board.

I Killed some before in Nvidia chipset boards.

Based on your post, I'd suggest the 1600 kit. You can run it at lower latencies than the 1333 kit if you end up clocking it at less than 1600 and it is obviously a faster overall kit. This will give the most flexibility regardless of your CPU OCing or lack of.

Refer to the Asus QV list here and you'll see Corsair and OCZ sticks on there, as well as other brands. I got the recommended OCZ which is running at stock 1800 with my cpu at 3GHz. It can be had for 80 quid if you look around.
