Confused with display after installing new Graphics Card

I am totally confused I have installed my new graphics card, and selected 1920 x 1080 the recommended setting for my display, which is the Acer S271HL 27 inch display. And for some reason the outer edge of the display is not showing anything and the cursor cannot be moved into the black area.

I have tried going into the settings to see if there is any options, but not sure where to start with this display, has anyone got any suggestions :confused:

What card have you got ? I have an AMD card and this is controlled in the Scaling section, make sure the slider is all the way to the right as in the photo.

 
sorry my error just found it, I was messing with advanced options, have switched to basic and found everything LOL it has been one of these days :-(
