If I remember correctly the twins on QI were Chang & Eng:

One of then got drunk and started a fight, the judge ruled it would be unlawful to imprision the innocent twin and let them both go. At least thats what was said on QI, I couldnt see any mention of it on the web

Not necessarily. They had conjoined but independently working livers. Their bloodstreams will have come into close contact but I don't think they would have been connected.
