Conjoined twins

Cut it off and remove the extra organs that can be safely I'm guessing and give them to people who need them. Not sure if one can die and the other survive though. Would the organs where there are only 1 not shut down if one half died?

I saw this earlier.

It's quite extraordinary but I've got one curiosity. Could just one of them die?
I know that seems an insensitive question but I'm curious.

I think there was a guy/s who had a similar situation whose twin died, I believe he just went shortly afterwards from the shock, need to try and dig it up though.

edit: Not quite the same but http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chang_and_Eng_Bunker

Wow that is insane! I can't quite get my head around how they drive and do other things

i saw a program about them a while ago. most tasks they can do just because they've had years of practice, such as tying your shoes. others need some conversation, like typing.

as for driving one does the gearbox, clutch and their side of the minor controls whereas the other one does accelerator, brake and their side of the minor controls. a little bit of communication is required for the steering, but generally they can work together quite easily. they both have their own driver's licences

It depends on the cause of death. Heart attack - not straight away, stroke - not straight away, liver failure - yes (they share that), road traffic accident (most likely). They are that joined that death for the other would surely follow swiftly anyway both from a physiological reason ie infection or the more obvious psychological reasons.
