hi i bought a
Xfx Radeon Hd 6770 Graphics Card 1024mb Ddr5 Pci Express 2.1 Mini-displayport card and need a cable or adapter to connect to my to Digimate L1916 19" TFT LCD Monitor until i upgrade my monitor

thanx for looking

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the monitor only has a VGA connection.

The easiest way is to use the VGA cable (which I assume you have) and a DVI to VGA adapter.

If the card has 2 DVI connectors the adapter will only work in one of them.

Did you get an adapter like this with the graphics card?:

mini displayport to vga cable or adapter but which one ?

Why on earth did you get a card with 5 Mini DisplayPorts?

Your life would have been much easier using a card with DVI connectors.

You will need a Mini DP to VGA adapter.

Here's a list of AMD validated dongles:

You'll need someone to tell you if you can get away with a passive adapter or you need a more expensive active adapter.

I am led to believe that all VGA adapters are active (see discussion here) and that should only really matter if you're planning on connecting more than 2 monitors anyway.
