As title says...
i have a technics 1210 record deck that i would like to connect to my current computer speakers. the speakers are good quality and best of all they are small. the base unit is powered. can i connect the record deck direct to the speakers? or will i need an amp?
the speakers have a 3.5mm mini jack cable and the deck has a red and white RCA cables. i can connect them via adapter cables but will it work?

need some advice..

It should work fine, just buy an rca>stereo mini jack adapter (few quid on ebay). Earthing wise I'm not sure, you'll need to earth it somehow though I would presume..

You'll need to get a phono stage at the very least. Assuming your speakers are active, you could then run a RCA - 3.5mm jack into your speakers from the phono stage. You could get a cheap one for about £15 which would do the job for connecting to pc speakers.
