Connecting up lcd tv to PC?

WHat resolution do you normally have to set it to when using the vga input on new tft tv's, the tv is a 32" samsung

Hi

My TV is a Samsung 40" Full HD set. When I connected my laptop to it the machine automatically selected the native resolution of the screen, which is 1920 x 1080

There is also a big list of supported resolutions in the manual which may help

Some cheaper TV's only do VGA up to 1024*768.

Decent ones will allow you to display up to the resolution of the TV.

looks like its 1366 x 768

this isnt available in choices? anyway i can add a custom resolution? for the system in my sig

You should be able to add a custom resolution in the nVIDIA control panel.

If it for some reason says "Could not add custom resolution" then try using powerstrip.
