Connection drop outs

Iam on Bethere 8mb, although only get 3mb. Each evening and sometimes during the daytime the connection cuts off for 30 secs to 1min. This can occur once or twice a night and is getting very annoying.

My router is a DG834G and my line stats are as follows:

Connection Speed: Down:2835 kbps Up:947 kbps
Line Attenuation: Down:55 db Up:18 db
Noise Margin: Down: 7 db Up:5 db

Any ideas?

Define "cuts off" - your modem loses ADSL sync?

This is probably insignificant, but do you download large files and it randomly cuts out?

My knowledge is not so good but. The network internet access just pops up as connection lost and the light on the router goes from green to orange.

And not I dont download large files.

So the DSL light on the router doesn't go out?

Nope it goes orange instead of green. Unless im wrong, I will have to check next time it happens.

Well going orange is a change. Sounds like it is losing sync then - usual story, try the router at the master socket with no extensions and see if it's any better.

The router is at the master socket with no extensions. Then its just a 5m cat5e cable to my pc.

Had the exact same problem with mine... was going wild with the ISP... until i changed the Router and everything was fine :/

Switched permanently to a Linksys WAG200G and it's been fine ever since
