Connection issues only in games.

I'm currently having really annoying connection problems in online games that started last night.

Normal internet connection appears fine, can download files fine & never had anything corrupt or anything like that.

However i cant currently stay connected to any online games for more than a few mins, any ideas what to try to resolve this?

I took a screeny of my connection stats as they are at the moment, however it is showing as being disconnected 5 times as i was messing with all the cables earlier.

You mean when you fire up a game, you lose sync? Make sure it's that first of all.

Yeah, i get "Connection Lost", however if i for example download a file its fine & the download completes as normal.

"Connection Lost" doesn't mean you're losing sync - can you still ping the router and/or something on the internet while this is happening?

Yeah, i can set a download off and it continues fine in the background even when the games cut out, and the games all let me reconnect straight away.

Can still ping router and websites fine.

Sounds like the game playing up rather than anything with your router then.

Which games have you tried?

Games i tried are EvE Online, Neocron 2 & Medieval 2.

I have the same problem - downloading music and files last night but couldn;t get on BF2/PES6 or xfire at all - seems Tiscali and Pipex are stopping people accessing certain gaming servers during peak hours.

I'm using BT Broadband (option 4) at the moment.
