Connection ratio problem?

I'm in Virgin ADSL 8mb.

I've got a good router, so I often get speeds of 500kbps on newsgroups.

But, this is only during strange hours like 2am or daytime, but diring the evening it grinds to a halt, and I'm lucky if I get 50kbps!

Is this line issues or connection ratio related?

Virgin ADSL does not have enough central capacity to meet the requirements of the user. The end result is terrible download speeds and pings in the 300+. Nothing you can do short of requesting your MAC code and moving.
