Connectivity help

Hiya all. Can someone please help. Ive just swapped my cpu from a qx6700 to a q9550 and im finding that my internet connection is now just going so slow as opposed to how it used to work. Would swapping the cpu make this difference and if so what can I do to fix the issue, its driving me nuts. Its like running with dial up all over again. Thanks in advance

Strange! Is everything else ok? Have you tried updating your bios?

What good would updating my bios be? Im new to all this. On checking xfx's website it would seem by bios is quite old P06 and there is P09 kicking about. Do you think it would be best to flash it?

Try just resetting the BIOS before flashing it. Also remove any overclocks if you have them

Your current bios might not fully support the new cpu. As Pea0n says try resetting it to defaults first.

Have you tried using a different browser?
