I will eat a whole egg if they are as mentally cheap as the US$-UK£ conversion says. Shell and all.

Mark A said:I bet AMD have sum technology up their sleeves that will beat Conroe, they just havn't had to reveal it yet as Intel have always been pants in comparison. Seems like Intel have looked at AMD tech or something as Intel cpu's have allways been much higher MHz and higher temps, now its more like an AMD.

Maybe it appeared to be an AMD leaning forum because AMD have the fastest cores.easyrider said:Who would have thought it a largely AMD leaning forum like overclockers now raving about INTEL chips!

Only fanboys are brand-loyal (ignoring actual performance).
I think that must have been about 2 years ago when 9800pro's were all the rage and so was getting 1gb of ram, oh wait - that's my 2 year old rig i'm running now (and of course I had an asus p4c800-e with that too, i've downsized to m-atx now though)Sem said:yeah i remember when P4 Northwoods where the hottest thing
most forum users had either a 2.8c or 3.0c cpu
Right lets do some maths
IN US Pentium D 960 = £280 ($528)
IN UK Pentium D 960 = £388 ($731)
Now thats a 39% increase
Soooo....
Theoretically
IN US E6400 = £129 ($243)
IN UK E6400 = £179 ($337)
