Conroe bords displaying as 'Out'

I thought the infinity boards were the budget option, imagine the price of the LP!

Indeed, the infinity line is the DFI budget line, and they are working on a lanparty version of the 975x.

The infinity series of AMD mobos are much less expensive, the cheaper ones go for about $70 in the US and top out at $105 for an NF4 SLI s939 board. Taking your normal US/UK prices thats probably about £70ish, under half the price ocuk are asking here for this 975x, quite a difference. People have been mentioning it probably being $140-180 in the US, so lets hope ocuk are just gouging a bit on the pre orders and it will fall to a more reasonable price considering its not exactly fully featured agaisnt the liks of the Asus etc.

This is the same price as the top of the line lanparty crossfire board for AMD that ocuk are selling atm heh.

I would love to put a conroe on a DFI mobo but i'm just not happy paying over £120 for one, heck, I didn't wanna pay more than £100 for a fairly good overclocking board.

Yeah, I think they're probably hiking the prices at launch. That and the fact that ocuk are one of the few stockists of DFI boards. Think I might go for an Asus and corsair combo personally.

Well for a i975X the price is on par. Don't Intel charge a huge license to use their chipset anyhow?

The price is about on par but the featureset isnt, even if it is gonna be a good clocker etc...I mean for a DFI board you only have to look at it to see its not meant as a high price enthusiast board :p

Isn't it only missing some extra SATA ports (and perhaps RAID5,10)? Maybe a bit of marketing pants too like AI *** or whatever.

The Asus P5WDG2-WS is still £30 odd more expensive and only difference I can see is the RAID ... Doesn't support conroe either.

HI there

Nope you want the DFI one which is now orderable! ;)

Hi, Gibbo, do you have any idea when the lanparty version of this board might arrive & whether it'll be on the intel chipset?

Cheers :)

If these mobo's are out weeks before Conroe then they are going to be selling for a premium. £150 is a bit much for this board imo. I would wait till nearer the 23rd and the prices should come down a bit. As always, shop around too.
