Not sure TBH on that one.

Don't have one and not sure what bios it ships with. :p

I would have thought it will be ok though.

Asus P5B Deluxe works straight out of the box with the Core 2, using one right now myself.

cheers dude

just looking at psu and i,m nearly done?

its either the seasonic or fsp Epsilon?

any idea or anything on this

I do video editing and 'am not too bothered about overclocking more stability so I'd rather go for a chipset that's designed specifically for the Core 2 rather than one that's been updated for it. Just my personal opinion.

@absent

i agree with you, i do plent of coding and occassional gaming

hows it in terms of stabilty, did you download any new bios or drivers or used everything from the driver cd?

I have installed the updated bios, the board came with the initial release bios from a few weeks ago (obviously). Apart from that using everything off the install cd. Seems 100% stable so far, no problems what-so-ever. Premiere Pro 2 and After Effects 7 go like the clappers.

i,m sure there some new drivers out, i'll check

what did u have before you upgraded?

Overall really, in the OS and in Adobe video and photo apps, dvd compiling (plus muxing and de-muxing), audio encoding, video encoding (although my main video encoder Canpous Procoder has a dissapointing increase in speed but seems to only be using 55% of the cpu resources for some reason). Basically a very very noticable increase in performance all over. Even Firefox is noticably faster in loading and responses.
