HI there

After having meetings with Intel this morning and been the first UK company to actually give Intel and their distributors orders for Intel latest processor we are now able to offer them on sale at OcUK.

Product is expected to arrive approx middle of July 2006.

As OcUK is the first company to place orders we get priority allocation which means OcUK will not only be the first with product but will also have more product availability than anywhere else in the UK/Europe. :D :D :D

Hi there

Remember only the latest Intel 965 boards are compatible.

Upto now the only compatible 975X is the DFI OcUK is selling, all older 975 boards are in-compatible, you have been warned!

When will you be stocking a larger variety of Conroe mobo's?

Over the next few weeks.

We shall also be stocking the entry level E4200 Conroe processor too which is an 800FSB part but should offer great value for money and be a great overclocker. :)

So will the prices be staying at:

E6300 Price: £129.95 (£152.69 Including VAT at 17.5%)
E6400 Price: £154.95 (£182.07 Including VAT at 17.5%)
E6600 Price: £214.95 (£252.57 Including VAT at 17.5%)
E6700 Price: £349.95 (£411.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)
X6800 Price: £659.95 (£775.44 Including VAT at 17.5%)

Those seem like nicer prices if they're to stay there. :)

HI there

Yep thats now accurate, but if the dollar changes then the prices could go up or down dependent on dollar rate. I can't see Intel changing the pricing except for maybe on the E6700 and X6800 in September. The E6600 and lower are exceptional value as most E6600's hit 3.2GHz on air cooling I believe which makes them the equal to like an FX68 in performance is such a CPU existed......

We welcome these nice changes!

Off-topic: Gibbo, will the price of X1900's come down a little by the end of July/early August? This is when i'm getting my new system.

Hi there

Very unknown ATI's prices are about right for the performance. We are offering the HIS X1900 XT ICEQ3 right now on This Week Only at a very good price. :)

does intel support sli as i will order now if they do

HI there

At this moment in time unknown. Crossfire is supported but for SLI you may require the new nForce boards that will come out soon.

@Gibbo - I know it's hard to estimate, but any rough idea how many 6600's you expect in the first batch ??

Would love to order today, but wages don't hit my bank until Monday - would the sales guys be able to tell me how many are pre-ordered (so I can see whether a first batch one was likely if ordered on Monday) ??

Cheers

HI there

I've ordered 1000 E6600 units!
OcUK is the first UK company to place orders with Intel so we should do quite well and easily get stock first and good quantity. :)

@ Gibbo... (and everyone else)

Have you sold any extreme editions yet?

Has anyone else bought an extreme edition?

I have to wait untill I get home and sweeten up the misses

Stelly

Hi there

Yes lots of all of them sold. :)

Hi there

All the Asus motherboards are now available to pre-order. So now we have good offerings from DFI and Asus. Abit and MSI will follow next week.

Hi there

Keep the orders coming in as we have order plenty of stock to go round, if all goes to plan we will have over 1000 Intel CPUs arriving towards the end of July to fulfill the demand as Intel are very keen to support us. :)

upped to 300x9 2700mhz :D

passed s&m so far :D

wonder if it will do 3Ghz on deafult :p
..

HI m8

Any chance you can re-run all those benchmarks in comparison to your Yonah at 3GHz again at the new speed please?

Hi there

Truly amazing. So that E6600 is pushing 3GHz in a cheap crappy motherboard at stock voltage air cooled?

I can see these things hitting 4GHz easily in decent boards with good air cooling and H20 setups. :)

I suspect before long we might see some 5GHz freon cooled rigs?

I am glad that Mr Intel is gonna look after us on this one but I think they have realised when it comes to gamers and overclockers they need to look after OcUK if they want to win that audience. So its all looking good and OcUK will be rewarded the most allocation in the UK, plus the fact OcUK is the first and only company to put orders in with Intel and all its distributors first helps a lot too. :)

Gibbo, can you get hold of G.Skill F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ DDR2 RAM? Must be the new batch with serial number starting with 0605/0606. They can overclock to 560MHz  and cost around £180 inc vat. Perfect for Conroe rigs.

How about this:-
F2-6400PHU2-2GBNR

??

Is that the stuff you want? If so I can offer it you approx £50 cheaper than you say above^^^^^^^^
