Total Inv Vat = £1,017.27

Is this all compatible? The two 80gb drives will be in a Raid 0 array. Is there anything I have missed out or should consider changing? I have a 20.1" widescreen Viewsonic VX2025 so will the system have enough juice for Doom 3, Half Life 2, Battelfield 2 and new games out now at 1680x1050 with eye candy? Or should I get a more powerful GPU such as the X1950 XT or is the extra £110 really not worth it?

I will also be installing the NEC ND4571, 2x300GB Maxtors (1 IDE and 1 Sata) 1x250GB (Sata II), a floppy drive and a Creative Audigy 2 ZS 7.1 THX for my 7.1 Gigaworks from my current pc.

Is it worthwhile putting the Audigy 2 in instead of using the onboard sound? Main usage is games/watching media.

Last off whats the best quiet cooler for the CPU which will also let me overclock down the road (since it seems this cpu performs very well in games at the moment)

Thanks in advance :)

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775) (HS-017-AR) as the CPU Cooler.

That spec looks great, and will be amazingly fast.

s-

Edit: although, personally id go for a Seasonic S12 PSU.

I have now added the AC Freezer 7 Pro, 4 Sata II Cables in black, a DVD-RW and changed the X1900 XT for a XTX.

Now will the PSU have enough juice for all the above plus 3 other hds, another DVD-RW and the Creative Audigy 2 ZS? I know many people on here recomend the Seasonic but the Type-R is modular and does a good job from reviews I have elsewhere (seems a lot of people on here dont like the Type-R too much).

I had a look for a similar spec Alienware (minus monitor, speakers, keyboard) it was roughly £900 more than my system which is nice to know!

Now any problems I should be aware of before purchasing since I will order the above when I get back from work 2moro (prob around 9  )

Plus any recommendations on hardware changes?

Thanks for your help :D

Is the PSU going to be powerful enough for all the spec below?

Plus is the ram a good choice for overclocking the e6600?

I have used maxtor in my last few pcs and had no troubles whatsoever, they have all run cool and quietly. What more can you ask for?

Also is this better than the corsair stuff?

Geil® Ultra DDR2 2.0GB PC6400 Dual Channel Kit (2 x 1GB) 800MHz (4-4-4-12) Since its lower Latencies...........but will it overclock as well? Want to try and get 3ghz from the e6600.
