Considering a scooby, when did they get a 6 speed box?

It sucks but hey, when I come back i'll probably get another one to be honest!

matt100, I know your budget is £10k but if you can stretch have a look at mine, it's the tidiest one you will find:) It's a 2005 plus its got the PPP on it.

get a sports wagon!

Not if you want a 6 speed box ;)

Agree with th eabove, MY05 model or above.

Also as standard the 2.5 engines are fine I thought, have known plenty of people with them who haven't had any problems. They've been standard and PPP'd models.

yes.

i want one badly :( I've wanted one ever since my uncle gave me me a ride in his Jap V4 STI when i was a kid. No point stretching myself again and getting myself into the same scenario as the VXR. Gonna wait till i can do it properly. Also need to wait for my driving ban to expire, insurance with it declared was over 2k !

Fair enough on the engine failures, no one I know ever had any problems include my folks who had one from new. It did not have an easy life either :)

Bear in mind most of the cars in those threads are MY08 models, not Hawkeyes which I'm talking about.

Fixed that for you ;)

Slightly different budget though :)

there are reports of Hawkeyes having it as well.

Those were what i found after only a quick scan of the forums. Its enough to put me off and want a JDM spec C with the 2.0 instead.

Shame about the insurance but if you've got the space, a cheap daily with a well sorted classic in the garage for the weekends is the way to go :)

I sold my RA far too quickly and even though the money went to a good cause I now regret selling it - I didn't at the time.

I'll have another classic eventually though.

I drove a 54 plate wrx sti ppp on saturday and I totally fell in love... I have to have one.

I might even have that one... 38k 1 owner, main dealer, £11999 tempted.

I can see why people like these cars! I nailed it towards the apex of a corner in slightly damp conditions and had to back off, I'm not used to a car tightening its line into a corner!

Whoa, whoa, 12k for a nearly 6 year old WRX? No. Just no.

You can get them for half that. You could even pick up a newer STi for that, and still have money left for a years insurance.

For a 54 which means it'll probably be an MY05, with that mileage, PPP, and from a main dealer the price probably isn't much above what they go for.

Private sale will knock that down a fair bit, as will higher mileage.

When I was looking round it was rare to find anything decent under 10k for a MY05, 11/12 seemed to get you one with decent miles and condition.
