Hi all,

This will be my first SSD, I don't know much about them.

Now that the prices have come down to an affordable level (for me) I am considering getting one. I think I want about 120gb, it would have my OS, all software, and a selection of games on it.

Which around 120gb SSD would you recommend at the moment?

I have my eye on both the Samsung 128gb: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-153-SA&groupid=701&catid=2104&subcat=

And the Intel 120gb: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-027-IN&groupid=701&catid=2104&subcat=

Both seem like good deals, especially the Samsung down from £100. Is it better than the Intel? I notice that the write speed is faster on the Intel one though?

Advice please ! :)

You will be happy with either especially considering prices.

As for the speeds I doubt you would notice a difference when actually using them normally (not benchmarking).

Pricing is good atm I paid 140 quid for my 128GB M4 last year and 69 quid for my 120GB Sandisk Extreme 3 weeks ago

Between those to I would go with intel as I would trust the warranty and if any issues did develop with firmware I woudl trust Intel to fix it faster than samsung. Just my opinion though.

I currently have a Crucial M4 and would buy an M4 again tomorrow.

Got the same Intel SSD Yesterday, I would recommend it. Starts windows and launch chrome instantly no lag!

go intel there really good.

Samsung and crucial are also at the same level so either of those 3 will be amazing just go with which ever is teh cheapest
