Consistantly getting defective products from OCUK?

Tonight was kind of a final straw now.

Over the last 2 years I've had over £230 worth of defective products from OCUK that have all broke within 9-12 months of me buying them.

The first, a Planatronics Gamecom 777 headset the mic broke as the contacts or wire on the arm that goes into the left earpiece broke rendering the mic useless. Planatronics refused to take the RMA so i binned the headset

Then my Corsair HX650 PSU went with a massive bang and blew a capacitor clean out which I RMA'd to the Netherlands for a disgruntled £35 delivery.

Now my Coolermaster Sentinel mouse left button has stopped working. It felt like and sounds like the actual switch mechanics have obliterated in the mouse but the RMA for CM is Holland and I really don't want to spend another fortune sending a £47 mouse make and waiting 2 weeks.

All of these have been less than 1 yr old when they've broke

I've ticketed OCUK about the mouse as that's really peeved me off but I hold no hope.

Planatronics Gamecom 777 headset £45.99
Corsair HX650 PSU £105 (Which cost £35 to RMA to the Netherlands)
Cooler master Sentinel Mouse £46.99

Total cost for buying and RMA'ing Defective products £232

Am i the only one with this misfortune?

Headset is pretty unfortunate but one of them things.

Most psu manufacturers RMA bases are overseas, i managed to get my HX620 sent to netherlands using DHL 2 day service for £14 with parcel2go, try them next time. Royal mail wanted £28....

Personally wouldn't touch a coolermaster mouse with a barge pole (personal opinion obviously), lots of people choose Logitech due to their brilliant warranty policy.

I'm not trying to ****lick OCUK but I think you've been a bit unlucky and put it down to pure co-incidence.

Under UK law you're never supposed to have to go to the manufacturer for warranty. With regards to the headset I feel that they have broken the Sale of Goods Act because the product is no longer fit for purpose within the time it is in warranty.

That being said it's just bad luck I think, I've bought from OcUK many times, never had anything wrong, and the time I thought there was something wrong they had it back, tested it and it was all good, turns out it was just me being silly.

I've only had one thing I bought from them break, and that was bad luck. I RMAd it back to Corsair (SSD - Netherlands), because whilst I could have easily RMA'd it back to OcUK, it was going to be faster RMA'ing it to the Netherlands rather than RMA it to OcUK who then basically sort it out with Corsair direct.. Just easier....

Also yeah, no idea about headset, but I'd only touch a couple of brands of mice, if I was buying good high end...

And your PSU is just bad luck. Hell, I'm surprised your PSU blew a capacitator. Corsair are renowned for their great PSUs....

I have had a few failures in the past, Enermax PSU, Keyboard and memory and the second set was faulty as well.

I think its just bad luck.

Sorry to hear your misfortune but it happens..have been a long standing coustomer of OCUK for many years..never had a problem yet with buying full pre-made systems or components.

After the year it is with the manufacturer, unless it is listed as an OcUK product and has more than the 1 year. :)
