Constant crashing on BF3 with GTX 680 Error:out of memory

I have a similar issue but it just minimises to desktop, no errors but in the task manager it says BF£ is not responding. On a fresh install, SLI and single GPU, default clocks, no set time it just happens randomly. Also happens in TF2 which is the only other thing I tried playing really.

Figure i'll just have to wait for the next drivers I do seems to solve it.

I think this is the same error I got when my pagefile was set small. My pagefile didn't report being full either but increasing its size solved the problem.

+1 A small or non existant pagefile will cause this error. Make sure OP you have a pagefile of at least 2gb in the drive BF3 is on.

They've 100% definitely changed something because I used to get a rock solid 40FPS+ and now I'm lucky to get above 25FPS. That's not just in close quarters (which may have more particles flying around and take up more memory).

Little annoyed. Even turning everything down to absolute minimum settings didn't make the slighest difference?!?!?!?

May sound stupid but are the Nvidia drivers installed?
If windows installed the drivers automatically then the MS drivers that would be installed would throw this error out.

You know, I just updated drivers to the latest Nvidia Beta and increased my overclock and I'm getting 40FPS+ once again. Thank goodness.

Might want to give the Beta drivers a whirl OP.

I have the exact same issue with my Asus 670 Top card... can play for about 10 minutes then it crashes and i get that message...

Updated firmware on graphics card/updated nvidia drivers (including tried the new beta driver)/ reinstalled directx/ underclocked the graphics card to "standard edition values"/reinstalled Battlefield/emptied cache origin/ checked that page file size is auto, and tried to set to 2GB manually/reinstalled MVP software/set lower graphics in battlefield3...

Still get the same issues.
Also tried different settings in bios on my MSI Z77 GD80 mainboard...
I have to run MVP due to Apple Thunderbolt display screen (need thunderbolt...)
So the monitor is connectet to mainboard and MVP handles the smart switching.

Any other ideas? this is driving me crazy...

Have no problem playing Diablo 3 for instance...
