Contact Lenses

Does anyone get theirs done at an eye hospital? My prescription is -27.5... Free off the NHS because I am blind without the lens! Specsavers out of the equation.

That is some terrible eyesight!

Has it always been that bad?

There was a thread about them a little while ago on here and someone recommended a website called Day Soft that sell daily disposables for under £15.

I thought I'd give them a go so ordered some of their 'Silk' lenses but they weren't great for my eyes. I was feeling significantly more discomfort than my Coopervision Aviara monthlies. However, a few days ago I was sent an email from Day Soft asking of my experience. After hearing that I wasn't satisfied they told me they would send out a pack of their 'Classic' lenses which are the same lens but in a different solution. They arrived yesterday and I'm amazed at the difference! I need to test them further but my first impression is very good. They were certainly much more comfortable than their 'Silk' offerings.

I use monthly disposable lenses (I'm lazy lol )

Visiondirect.co.uk cost me £44.00 delivered for 6 months supply(Bausch&Lomb PureVision lenses)

Feel Good Contacts have had some problems recently. I think their site (no pun intended) may have been hijacked. Not sure if they are quite back on track yet but they had a massive back log of orders + many angry customers etc.

It was a fake website set up to look almost the same as their official site IIRC.

I had the same exact experience with Day Soft

Silk where more uncomfortable than the Classics
nevertheless the Classics although comfortable but my vision with them was not as good ( clear/ sharp..) ..) as with the ones I´m using now: Biomedics one day extra from Coopervision....
