Content encoding error!?

Am getting this error on a vbulletin board, never seen it before and can't find out how to resolve it. Any ideas. Initial searches point to a browser problem, but I've trieed it in several and all the same.
 
Thanks for your help. I turned off gzip in vbulletin, it then produced an sql error, from which I was able to trace the problem. Can't see how gzip is connected to sql but hey, it's and running again
