not sure if this is bad form to ask, i am working on my company website it is for building products hand tools etc and have loads of items to list, i understand there maybe people in india that can do this at a fraction of the uk cost, i am unsure where to find them does anyone have any sensible ideas or indeed not so sensible ideas of how to find such a company.:confused:

I'm not going to help you find one but will tell you why you should reconsider.

Have you ever gone through the entertaining experience of calling a foreign call center? Imagine doing that but with something as complex as a website.
You will get it done cheaper but the standard of work will be on par with what you pay. Personally, I wouldn't be happy with a subpar website representing my company. I don't know how many times I've decided not to buy something on a particular website because it looked cheap and dodgy.

That being said, if it's all you can afford, go for it. They're not all bad, but many of them are.

Total lol.

Enjoy trying to converse with someone in India via the telephone or emeail.

Have outsourced a couple of small projects twice to two different companies and personally never ever want to go through it again.

They may be cheaper but I find the whole thing to be a lot harder than it should. Also wasn't overly impressed with the work they did.
 
So basically you want to pay someone to enter our products on to your site?

Do you not know any 14-16 year olds that need a bit of cash in hand work?
 
ok thanks for the replies it was only an idea about india it just that i know somone else that swears by them and has used them very succesfully.

dont like the call centres etc myself

i am open to suggestions just want a load of items listed in the site, will also need seo, i can pay its no problem just want value for money

Again, from my own expoerience with 2 offshore companies, the only SEO they do its submit to loads of spammy directories that Google will be ignoring.

Why would they be doing any design/seo work.. all he wants is a bit of data entry?

You're basically looking for an input monkey right? Not a web design service which is what most replies seemed to have assumed.
 
yes thats it i am looking for and input monkey or indeed monkeys,

the seo i want a something uk based someone that knows what they are doing.

maybe my post was not so clear.

i will at a later date be looking for a web designer as the thing gets bigger
