We all know of the PS3 £5 a month continous play offer, where aslong as you're paying they'll replace a faulty PS3. No problems.

Well, If you check out the website, Due to the frequency of people who have been buying faulty consoles and signing up for this for the repair, The service is no longer available. At the current time anyways, People who are already signed up can continue to enjoy peace of mind service. But anyone else wanting to use the service in future, Will find it difficult. Great

Havent done this myself but read all about it, still got my warranty for another 8 months or so but this was going to be a life saver after that period. Sure it will be sorted by then with a new policy but still sucks for others.

Did they not ask for proof of purchase from legit source? Surely with that info and a serial number registered with them by the user they could offer the service without people abusing it?

I should have took it out for peace of mine i have owned mine from new 16 months old . :(
Take it there,s no chance even if you can proof i bought it from new ?
There,s no fault with the ps3 at the mo but knowing my luck this year the ps3 will develop a fault and take out the streets amenities .:D

I would suggest phoning them up, And speaking to them. The website may just be a way of slapping wannabe scammers in the face. If you actually speak to someone at the company, you could possibly get better luck, I mean the business is still up and running for people already signed up, A nice chat with them could work I guess

I will give them a call when ive got my box out the loft with all the receipt and info in ;)
Nothing lost i suppose with it running fine at the moment , but the price is still high on them and replacing it with cash at present would not be a option
