March 2025 Update (1.30) Release Notes (PC)
OUTFITS
The following outfits are now available to all players. The outfits can be accessed and equipped from the Control Point in the Central Executive Sector area.

• Astral Dive Suit (formerly a pre-order exclusive)
• Tactical Response Gear (formerly a pre-order exclusive)
• Urban Response Gear (formerly a pre-order exclusive)
• Extradimensional Suit (formerly obtainable in the AWE DLC by finishing SHÜM)

MISSIONS
All players will receive the mission Dr. Yoshimi Tokui’s Guided Imagery Experience, featuring voiceover by Hideo Kojima. The mission is playable when you pick up the Dr Tokui Tapes collectible in the Extrasensory Lab of the Research Sector. (This mission was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 4 Digital Deluxe version of Control.)

GRAPHICS
• Added HDR support
• Added new Ultra ray tracing preset, which gets you more rays per pixel and higher temporal stability
• Added ultrawide monitor support for up to 48:9 monitors
• Added an FOV scaling setting for the gameplay camera
• Updated SDR to 10bit (from 8bit), which reduces visible color banding
• Improved graphics adapter detection at startup, with automatic selection between DX11 and DX12
• Implemented screen aspect ratio fixes for ultrawide monitors
• Your current monitor resolution can now reliably be selected from the screen resolution and rendering resolution menus
• Added rendering resolution support beyond 4K
• Implemented texture streaming fixes
• Ray tracing bug fixes

DLSS SUPPORT
• Added DLSS support for arbitrary resolutions
• Added DLAA support
• Updated DLSS to DLSS 3.7, with higher temporal stability
• Film grain added back to DLSS SR
• Fixed shadow resolution when DLSS is enabled
• Added resolution dependent mip map bias for DLSS. This enhances texture quality, for example when applying the DLSS Performance setting.

GENERAL
• Updated the audio on cinematics and end credits to remove unintended channel mixing. You will no longer hear anything that isn’t intended to be heard. (It wasn’t the Hiss, it was us. Sorry.)
• Several bug and crash fixes

HDR and RT dialled up a notch, lovely jubbly

They've implemented the Control devs HDR/RT/UW patch and added some new stuff, might finally get round to playing it

I don't normally use GOG.. I just have a bunch of free stuff on there and this is apparently one of those games. Some weirdness with the GOG Galaxy client sometimes on launch with the game not responding to inputs. Cool that they went back to it and integrated all these fixes. I just might have to replay it again some time.

With the new Resonant sequel out now I thought I'd finally get around to try finishing the first one.

Need to let people know about a great new mod from the RenoDX team just come out for this too - it adds proper Ray Reconstruction and proper DLSS frame gen via geek wizardry!

These mods combined with DLSS 5 (the frame gen mod makes it very playable now) make it look stunning in parts. I'm using Shortfuse's latest build with upscaled hook and model B. This is one of the few games where B looks the best as the art style of Control has a slightly 'cartoony' presentation. I'm really enjoying the game too, will definitely play the sequel after

This and Alan Wake 2 put me off ever buying anything made by Remedy ever again! :(

They lost their way ...... map & mission design are so confusing in this I uninstalled it a while ago.

They need to hire people who know how to make a simple mission and map design you can actually follow without looking it up all the time plus checkpoints that actually work and do not auto save over progress with a corrupt uncompletable version

I absolutely loved both Control and Alan Wake 2, managed to completed both games, maps and missions design are perfect.

You found it so confusing because you either not very good at solving puzzles or has lower IQ than me.

Remedy not lost their way, they hired the best people who designed maps and missions for Control and Alan Wake 2.

I never had corrupted uncompletable saves in Control and Alan Wake 2.

Remedy did much better job than Bethesda did 20 years ago with Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with the latest official patch update which had broken missions and corrupted saves that was impossible to completed and cannot continued the quests then I left the game installed for years. Thankfully years later a huge unofficial Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion update patch finally fixed all 1,800 bugs and and 70,000 object placement errors, I restarted new game and managed to completed all quests with no corrupted saves. Unfortunately Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered had suffered the same issue with latest official patch, thankfully unofficial Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered patch fixed all issues.

Lol, this has really tickled me

I like a man who speaks his mind!

I never really played Control properly until a few days ago as this mod I mention above reminded me about it. The main reason I'm actually enjoying the game is because it is a bit 'weird' and is more old school in its design in that it doesn't hold your hand like you're a retarded infant, or tell you where to go all the time with big floating markers and yellow ******* paint!

Wow, I never knew Dylan & Jessie Faden are distant relatives of Emperor Uriel Septim VII.

Another mindblowing lore drop by Remedy ! ;)

Control looks really different in that video...
Neil needs an AI thread title reader assistant.

I was like, HUH?

I looked at it and went I see Oblivion, I don't see Control. What are you lot on about.

Looks at Thread title

Oh ******

Yeh, I shouldn't be posting pepped up on Pain medication!
