Controller for fighting games?

I have a question guys, i've never played fighting games on the pc like Street fighter because I hate using the keyboard for fighting games

so are there any good controllers you can use? I heard you can actually use the ps3 controller with the PC, true?

If you prefer analogue sticks, 360 pad all the way.
If you prefer D-pad, then Dualshock 1/2 ftw.

Yep you can use a PS3 pad on the PC by using certain drivers to get them working.

Or if you have a PS2 pad, then buy a USB converter for that.

The MadCatz Fightpads and Joysticks can work as well as they are USB.

Another alternative is to get a Sega Saturn USB pad, which the Fightpad is based upon.

For a little more than the price of a pad, get a stick ! Hori FS3, or if you want to go the little extra a MadCatz TE.. You won't ever look back. Plus all the MAME classics that just come to life with a stick. For SF4 it's a heaven send.

Definitely agree, 360 controller dpad is pure horribleness for Street Fighter.

360 controller installs automatically if you use Vista/Win7. For the PS3 pad see here.

meh, I play it with a 360 pad just fine. Granted, I'm no SF4 pro, but it works

Anyhow, I agree that D-pad's beat analogue everytime for games like this
