Anyone with the luxury of having both? Or someone who maybe can advise on which is better? I am going to buy one, But i am not sure which i should get. I am after something that will make games like GTA smoother than a mouse. That is my only purpose for buying one.

The Sabertooth seems based off the old 360 controller, And uses the same old driver from MS? Where as the one controller has a recently released driver for Windows 8. I do not plan on using the rocker switches on the Sabertooth so really i think it comes down to which is smoother or superior. One thing i did notice that worried me is there has been an update by firmware to the one controller on the xbox, And something about a dodgy joystick. As far as i know this firmware update is only possible on the console dashboard?

Thankyou

Just get a 360 controller tbh. I dont really see the advantage of the XBO controller or Razer version for pc gaming.

Good points, All my Razer gear has died due to issues apart from the keyboards. Do you guys remember the process will run on the computer if you installed the controller?

There was a process people really disliked and called it bloatware, But i cannot find it, And i would love to know if the newer one is more friendly and just has the simple driver. They did state it would be included into a future windows update so it seems a more future proof version. They apparantly made 40 improvements to the one controller as well.

Is this the nasty process? http://www.file.net/process/xboxstat.exe.html

Only razer product i had was one of the Onza's(control pad) it was cheaply made and felt very flimsy, whole bunch of my friends have tried these and other razer control pads,Everyone agrees the build quality is really bad.

Not sure about the processes stuff tbh.I have a Official wired 360 pad i bought around 2 years ago, doesnt run any processes or require any software at all to use :)

I personally use the Xbox one controller and on the whole I would recommend it as being comfortable and sturdy. One slight grievance I do have with it though is that my dpad has starting squeaking a little bit when pressed to the left. I mostly play games with headphones on so it doesn't bother me too much, but I could definitely see it getting on my nerves if I played games through my speakers.

Sweet, Does it smooth out those console ports? I have a few games where the mouse is clearly very bad, Dead Space, GTA etc. Would you say it is smoother? Im not bothered about aim i just want a butter smooth enjoyable experience.

I'm a fan of using my Xbox One pad in PC games. Really adds more depth for me. Dying Island, for example, is a joy to play with a pad.

Can't say I notice any difference between my old 360 pad and the new one though.

It depends what your issues are really?

If you mean games that have aim acceleation and stuff that cant be disabled,it would probily feelmore natural on a pad.

But if you mean games that just run badly, well the game still runs badly and your inputs are still gonna be janky, would almost certainly be more tolerable on a pad i guess.

A lot games in general just play better on a control pad than M+K anyways, pretty much an essiential thing to own if you game on PC

Rather than opening new topic I'll just post here and hope for an answer - is there any difference between old and new xbox controller? I've heard plenty about xbox controller and I'd like to get myself one but I'd rather get the best I can for my money :D

When i did some looking into it mate, They said they listed 40 technology improvements. The driver also seems to be the latest compared to the old 360 one which is used with the Sabertooth.

Im going to get one, I found it for £42.99 inc free delivery and it comes with a USB 2.0 cable. This must be a new revision because previously it was just a wireless controller. But if you look again (in the right place) you see now it is advertised as for pc too and the specs list it with the cable for usb 2 and usb 3.

Hopefully it takes away the little microstutter on ports. Hopefully i can get the funds to order one by the end of the week.

Just a quick update for anyone on the fence, The controller is great i am really happy with everything and i paid £42.99 inc postage and it comes now with a cable with the updated version and has Windows on the bottom of the box in black so Microsoft HAVE updated it!!! It is super smooth also and DOES smooth out games like GTA IV & Dead Space and it made me fall in love again with a few older games like Sonic.

So much so im getting rid of my expensive mouse. :)

Had the original Deathadder from Razer developed double clicking within a year, Bought two 2013 edition Deathadders, Returned both due to build quality.
