No need for the software to run at all once you've got it set up. You can uninstall aquasuite.
Way more functionality and control. Switch fans completely off. Create custom sensors / values. Alarms if fans / pumps stop working. Hard shutdown with a cable that costs a few quid. Dedicate temp sensor, flow sensor inputs.
If you want basic the CP will do the job, but the OCTO has limitless expandability / upgrade paths, and a whole host of compatible products.
It even does RGBpx, is compatible with several proprietary RGB standards, and can do things like match colours on your display to monitor RGB strips.
It's a very powerful piece of kit.
