Hi just wondering if I need a fan controller or should i just leave it upto my motherboard?

Board is a x99 rampage v and will be loooming to control a fractal design s36 aio an a couple of case fans.

Also if a controller is needed which would you recomend or do i just use the gizmo the board comes with?

Thanks

Both CPU and GPU fans have automatic speed control. It is only logical to do the same with the case fans supplying them. This way as the speed up and use more airflow the case fans do the same. ;)

Whichever you prefer I have fan controller to keep cables out the way plus the aluminium finish (scythe kaze q) looks cool and who doesn't like knobs? ;)

Motherboard all the way.

Why would one want to twiddle a knob when it can be done automatically? I'm a set once and forget. I haven't modified a fan setting in at least 3 years. My motherboard checks the temperatures and adjust the speeds several times a second. I just can't be bothered to keep up with that.
