Is this still a pipedream? It runs windows 8, and I would want to open files, navigate to iplayer etc. Currently using a wireless Logitech keyboard with a trackpad. It works, but its annoying.

Would anyone recommend any other solution?

Hasn't the Kinect from the Xbox360/One been used for W8 Voice control for a while? Pretty sure gesture control is also working fine. I remember seeing a guy that was using a W8 PC connected to a 50" TV Doing all the Minority Report stuff (without the overlay) on the TV In front of him...

The "Yatse" Android remote control app for Kodi/XBMC does voice control, but only within XBMC/Kodi.

However, with XBMC/Kodi, I find I don't need to dip back into Windows anyway.

I'm still annoyed MS has released Kinect for windows yet. Well they have but it's only a developer tool. I want the same as well as hand guessers. Ms has it sorted, if you watch all their research videos they got some amazing stuff. I just don't know why they don't release some off it.
