Could I wipe the Samsung OS on my Tab S2 and install a clean, pure version of the latest Android Nougat?

I'm looking at the spec for the next one (Tab S3) and it offers nothing I need other than the updated soctware/security.

Each device is different. But for mine first you have to install a new bootloader (twrp) then that allows you to wipe the system, and install a new ROM image.

Go to XDA and browse for your device, read guides, which rom images you need etc.
If this is your tablet this is the section

https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-3

That's not my device, but I get the gist now mate. I'll have a browse, and thanks for the help.

Edit to say, it's a Tab S2 not S3. The S3 is the new version due out.

I got TWRP running and managed to root the device, but strangely there doesn't appear to be any ROM's available for this model SM-T710.

If anyone stumbles across this thread and knows of a ROM I could use, then I'd be grateful.

Learn yourself, I don't have your tablet so I'm not going to spend hours learning how to do it, whilst you do nothing expecting others to do the hard work for you.

I'm not expecting anyone to spend hours doing anything for me, and if you look at the post times I have obviously spent the hours myself and gotten a little closer, but just need a little extra help finding a relevant ROM. The ROMs I am seeing are for other models (SM-T810 etc.)

A link to a relevant ROM would have taken far less time than the two unhelpful posts you decided to make instead. I have already asked you to stop trolling the thread. If you continue to troll I'll use the RTM facility.

How did you get on? I have an S2 and was thinking of rooting and trying some other roms.

I still haven't found a ROM for my model, so I've kinda went back the way because I've installed the backup software(TWRP) and the tablet now knows that I'm not running stock so it refuses to install official software updates.

Given the slightly hostile response I've received when hunting for info, I've just decided to leave it as it is. Unfortunately, Netflix also refuses to run after installing TWRP.

My advice is to leave it as it is.

Thanks matey, think I'll leave as is, not enough benefits for rooting.
