Convertables and idiots

Hi,
So I'm borrowing my parents MX-5 while I am between cars, which I'm really enjoying, great fun to drive and been really enjoying having the roof down to and from work in this weather, however, something today happened today which left me fuming.

I was driving along minding my own business when a car coming the other way lauched there takeaway chips at my car! Luckily they where rubbish shots and got the side and not my face!

Anyone else experienced things like this? I just can't understand the reasoning behind this kind of behaviour, guess they are just **** ******

EDIT: How did I manage to spell convertibles so wrong???

You get morons and having nice or convertible cars just attracts them.

I've gone from a diesel focus to a porsche and in 1 week have had more people attempt dangerous overtakes/undertakes than in 3 years with the focus. Unfortunately people get jealous of others cars and feel you need to be bought `down a peg` by doing stupid stunts....
 
Never had this, you werent drivng through millbrook were you? :D

Depending on whos in the other car I would have followed and had words.... nobody throws chips at my car! :p
 
If you had of attached your hair-dryer from the boot to the intake manifold you would have been going that much faster and missed the chips entirely.

Your own fault really.
 
Not only was that stupid but also a very dangerous thing only an idiot (perhaps a jealous one at that as mentioned) would do. Hopefully it won't happen again though and fortunately it doesn't sound like anything got damaged.

I've had similar in my BMW, some one threw a full litre bottle of water at my car! Luckily the c u next Tuesday hit my windscreen instead it denting the panels. By the time I'd gotten to the round about to do a u-ey they'd done one :(

Some people are just dicks!

Back in the day I had a Smart Roadster, everyone and their dog wanted to race me from the lights, I just used to let them go, their manhood did not get any bigger by doing it.

I have a hot hatch megane now (225), and I expected everyone to be trying to race that as well, but no, people just leave alone, its great. Its obviously faster than most boy racers cars so they don't want a race that they could not win. I still go just as slow, but I don't get so many oiks reving their engines next to me at lights.

Sound like a bunch of ****s. I had someone throw an egg at my car a couple of months back and i don't think i've ever been as angry as that on the road. It's times like this i wish i had one of those road hawk things.
