Cooking with Haircut: Curry (But different to Jonny69's)

Looks great :) I'm surprised how many men cook on here :)

'm surprised how many women can't cook. With my social group, the ratio of guys being able to cook a half decent meal compared to girls is around 70-30, or worse.

I have always loved to cook and bake form an early age.

It's the same for me and the friends I know. Young women these days don't seem to want to bother.

I always hear "I can't cook"

It's just lazyness. If you can read you can learn to cook. I've lived with my wife for 12 years and unless it goes in the microwave she can't be *****.

Tea and toast on a weekend morning is the nearest she gets to feeding me for a change. If the roles where reversed she would be banging on to her mates how I never surprise her by cooking her a decent meal.

Anyone with any sort or brain power should be able to cook. All you do is get a cook book, and it has step-by step instructions, do it a few times and you remember it! The hard bit of cooking is knowing what to change in the recipe to cater it to your taste buds :)

Cooking is one of the easiest things in the world. I can't understand people who won't even try.

What's the worst that can happen? You make something which tastes crap and either suffer it for one evening or bin it and get takeaway!

Curry recipe looks great, I've never made one with pork before. One to try in the next few days :).

I don't really understand guys who DON'T or CAN'T cook, it really is a benefit to have at least a small range of culinary skill.
Agreed. Leon is absolutely useless, although I've yet to see him even try cooking so I think it's more a case of "won't" than "can't" ;) He even gets out of sandwich making on a weekend because apparently I'm so much better at it than he is  :p

I learnt to cook by myself, just trying things and reading recipes, I use to get home first so either I waited for my parents to come home and cook or I did it myself, its so easy to cook, I don't think I have bought a microwavable meal this year.

And men are the best cooks FACT :D

I love making a stir fry with Uncle ben's rice, bean sprouts, clove of garlic, mince meat and either sweet and sour or sweet chilli sauce, with prawn crackers on the side :D

Hope it ended up well.
It's definitely the sugar, salt and vinegar that bring the whole thing together, as you said before they're added its a little bland.

Hmm, I've book marked this one too. :)

I don't get how people can't cook, my house mates can't, and I just don't get it.

I often cook for myself and for my girlfriend, but I never use of have used books I just think of what I'd like to cook, and try it. If I really need some guidance I just call my mother who can seemingly cook anything and make it great. :D

I may have to buy some proper spices and herbs tomorrow, along with one of those blender things Jonny mentioned in his one.

I want a proper curry now/soon, so I'm going to have to do one of these tomorrow. :D
