Cooking with Jonny69: CURRY!!!

Looks good.
Do you not use any sort of garam masala in your curry base though?
I know you use some later, but I've always done it with garam masala in the base and then individual spices depending on what you're cooking.

Excellent Recipe there Johnny!

Well Done, You've also managed to convince me that I should try a Prawn Curry.

Not something I would ever consider, but that look's lovely.

Ended up buying King Prawn in Szechuan sauce with a silly big mountain of chips. :)

Dont think it could top your curry though Jonny. :)

That looks great Johnny, I absolutely love curry, usually make Korma but I love seafood so will give your receipie a try.

I was especially happy to see the amount of cloves :D If I'm making a curry for myself I'll put in about 3 (love garlic).

A tip if you use chicken instead, poach or steam the chicken until it's cooked, drain and leave aside to cool, then just throw it in and heat for a few mins, when the currys ready.

Keeps it really succulent and moist.

Yeah I always poach chicken that way in stock for 20 minutes if I'm going to use it in curries or sweet and sours and the like.

It keeps the chicken juicy like you get in a takeaway instead of frying it where it goes a bit tougher.

I had a very similar curry to that last night but I used Cod sections instead.

haven't you just made a fish curry?
Seafood. Different stuff according to my gut. Seafood=fine, fish=3 day vomit sesh  :D

Noooooo :( :(

Good job I had a towl across me lap otherwise that lot would have gone all over the floor and more.
I don't even want to know why you're sitting there at your pc with only a towel round you  :D

Note to Jonny.

We can now have 10 picturesd per post (lots of smileys)
