cool gadget

its good except you have to take your eyes off the road to look at the screen :(

I think I saw a review of a car with this in on top gear by Clarkson, he said it was useful as he found he was just glancing at it occasionally like you would with a speedo, and not fully concentrating on it, and if its used in that manner then it sounds like it could be useful. Having said that there will probabaly be some muppets who drive along looking at it constantly.

Err, cars already have very well designed lights that allow drivers to see in the dark... Have I missed something here?

With the device, drivers can see the upcoming twists and turns on a dark road beyond the area of the car´s headlights
Although I do think it will be limited use as it only works at 10-40mph, at which I'd generally expect the headlights to be adequate in well lit areas, and in poorly lit areas I'd expect to use main beams to increase the visible road ahead, or just slow down so I can stop in a distance to be clear. I am a bit skeptical about it to be honest, but time will tell :)

One of the guys at work has it in his S class Merc. It's actually very good although you feel as though you're playing a computer game.

I say slap this into a contact lens with a microchip to receive the signals from the car sensor and project the image directly. If you could mount the camera as well onto the lens you could have a top night vision system.

I feel like i'm on Colin Mcrae rally when I drive anyway.
